Bonnie Ryan
Bonnie Ryan is an educator, developer, and author with nearly 13 years of experience teaching programming, web development, and analysis and design at the college level.
The last ten years she has been a member of the IT faculty at New Brunswick Community College in NB, Canada. She currently teaches html/xhtml, css, javascript, VB.Net,
ASP.Net, PHP, Ruby on Rails, ColdFusion, Ajax, Silverlight, Flash, Photoshop, Portfolio Development, and Object Oriented Analysis and Design. In addition, Bonnie also has
been a reviewer for technical IT textbooks for a number of years.
She has a Masters Degree in Information Technology Education, Bachelor level degrees in Education and Arts, and two college diplomas in programming and web development.
She also was certified as a Cisco Certified Academy Instructor for Java, and in Microsoft NT Workstation. Before making the move to adult education she worked as a programmer,
an elementary school teacher, and a fitness instructor/ personal trainer.
In addition to her IT endeavors, Bonnie has been a fitness instructor for 23 years and loves teaching step and spinning classes. She also still manages to use the creative
side of her brain when she sings and writes poetry. Bonnie has published several works of poetry individually and in an anthology of poetry with several other authors.
She currently lives in New Brunswick, Canada with her husband and 6 year old daughter.
