About TrainingSpot
TrainingSpot.com creates screen-cast tutorials
on SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2008, Microsoft SharePoint and more, including
SQL Server Analysis Services and SQL Server Reporting Services. Our philosophy is to
provide "high quality visual quick-starts" on applications that enterprises rely
on. All of our SQL Server Tutorials and SharePoint Tutorials were
created by the following indivuduals:
Robert Penn
Robert Penn brings to TrainingSpot.com a diverse background
of IT expertise and industry experience.
Prior to joining TrainingSpot.com, Robert spent the last 11
years working in the IT profession as a Software Developer, Consultant and
Project Manager for some of the leading companies
in the world including KPMG, the Mary Kay Corporation, the New York Stock Exchange, and UnitedHealthcare.
His experiences in many industries and corporations has helped him gain a unique perspective
on the world of IT and he brings that knowledge with him to TrainingSpot.com.
Robert is originally from Norman, Oklahoma and graduated from the
University of Oklahoma with a BBA in Management Information Systems and Accounting. He currently
lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife and their newborn daughter.
Bob Tabor
Bob Tabor is an author, trainer and three-time Microsoft Most
Valuable Professional award winner and who has over a dozen years
of industry experience with Microsoft software development
technologies. He has developed software and websites for many
companies and organizations including Ernst & Young, KPMG, Sprint,
Cambridge Technology Partners (now part of Novell), the American
Heart Association and the Mary Kay Corporation.
Bob created LearnVisualStudio.NET
which debuted in 2002 and instantly gained attention as a great way
to learn the new .NET technologies before they were even officially
released by Microsoft. Since then, over 500,000 people have viewed
his training videos and customers include most companies in the Fortune
500 list, and most major universities.
Bob has created training content for many groups within Microsoft,
including projects for the Academic Alliance group, the C#, Visual
Basic and ASP.NET groups, the Visual Studio Team System and SharePoint
product teams and the Enterprise Search group. He has also conducted
several MSDN Web casts, is a member of the Microsoft Developer
Guidance Council and recognized with the title of "Influential
Developer" within Microsoft.
Bob is originally from Chicago, Illinois and graduated with an
MIS degree from Loyola University of Chicago. He now lives near
Dallas, Texas with his wife and two sons.
